COVID-19 Update
and Changes

August 18, 2020

Due to the ongoing pandemic, T4T Caregiving has very limited travel services, with only two caregivers able to travel in this time. More caregivers will consider traveling again once the pandemic has passed.

But! We still have active local caregivers in multiple locations:
Atlanta, GA
Baltimore, MD
Nashville, TN
New York City, NY
Portland, OR
San Francisco, CA

In many ways, we view this as a positive step forward. In the last two years, T4T has offered care to more than 100 trans people around the country. We are ecstatic to see how our vision has blossomed. What began as two people in rural Tennessee traveling around the country to give care is now a nationwide web of dedicated trans people caring for our own communities in times of transformation.

Being local, our caregivers can have more nuance in the quality of care they give. They are able to establish rapport with surgeons; they have an opportunity to see how the medical system works in their area; they often already understand the layouts of the city they are in. Our world is in such a state of deep growth and we are being called to connect. Having local trans communities come together to support one another during these epic rites of passage is one way to deepen that connection.

We hope to continue to broaden our web of care by empowering more trans people to care for each other within their local communities.
If you are interested in becoming a caregiver, let us know.  Priority is given to trans people of color and trans feminine individuals. We can train you!

In the meantime, if you are seeking care, please contact us at t4tcaregiving@gmail.com for a consult.

In solidarity,
T4T.

Looking for someone to be with you while recovering from your surgery?
We can help!

We are a group of trans caregivers. Many of us are post-op ourselves.
Together, we have a broad history of direct caregiving experience to suit your needs.
We have all cared for other trans people during their surgery recoveries, and we know how important this time is for each of us.
We believe in our community. We believe in caring for each other.
And we know that no one else understands the trans experience like another trans person.

We are trans. We are caregivers.
And we want to help!
