Rates for Care
T4T Caregiving practices Justice Pricing in the form of a self-selected sliding scale. This means that you will determine your own daily rate depending on your level of economic access. There is no application process and we do not ask about your income - we trust and support your autonomy to choose your own rate. During your email consultation, we will send you an online form that will walk you through how to choose the best rate for your economic circumstances.
Rates for Care Options:
Standard Rate: Our standard daily rate is $250 per day. This is the minimum amount we would always charge if we weren't reducing rates to create access, and it is still quite a bit lower than other live-in caregiving services.
Solidarity Rate: We have several Solidarity Rate options above our standard rate. Choosing one of these rates means paying your caregiver at our standard rate, and the additional amount you pay is a donation to our Community Care Fund. These rates support our community by creating access funds for trans people who would otherwise be unable to afford our services.
Reduced Rate: Our Reduced Rates range from $235-$165 per day. This range exists for those who experience some financial hardship, but still are able to access their needs and/or have a financial safety net, such as family resources.
Community Rate: Our Community Rate is $150 per day. This rate exists only for those who struggle to afford basic needs such as stable housing and food. If paying at a Reduced Rate would cause significant financial strain, this rate is for you.
These rates are for around-the-clock care. We typically recommend booking a caregiver for 2-3 weeks post hospital discharge after lower surgery and for 1-2 weeks after top surgery, facial surgery, orchiectomy, or hysterectomy.
In addition to the care rates, you will also need to cover the cost of food and travel expenses for your caregiver for the time they are staying with you. All bookings of 7+ days will incur a care coordination fee of $100. Bookings of 6 days or less will incur a care coordination fee of $50. Managing T4T Caregiving requires many hours per day of emails, phone calls, texts, Zoom meetings, paperwork, bookkeeping, and more. Since we are a small team operating a nationwide service, the care coordination fee helps sustain us and ensure that we can respond to everyone in a timely manner!

Once you've confirmed with one of our Caregivers, our payment policy is as follows:
A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required to secure your caregiver. This can be sent via PayPal, Venmo, Cashapp, or by check – whichever is most convenient for you. This $250 goes towards your care costs. Because we are a small scale project, we need to be sure that the people we book are truly committed to the care they are to receive. If not, we end up booking our time with no way to fill it in the case of a last minute cancellation.
Payment for Care Expectation:
Cancellation Policy:
We understand that things can change at any moment - that insurance issues may arise, travel may not work out, you may change your mind about your caregiving arrangement, or other unforeseen circumstances. We fully support your autonomous right to change your plans, and we also understand that your plans may change due to circumstances beyond your control. Regardless of the reason for cancellation, we require a cancellation fee because your caregiver has committed weeks of their time to you. These spots cannot be filled on short notice, causing your caregiver to be out of work in the event of a cancellation.
To supplement this loss, our policy is as follows:
Payment for Care Expectation:
- 50% of care balance is due 4 weeks prior to beginning date of service
- 50% remainder is due 2 weeks prior to beginning date of service
