Devin Co.B.

Hey there! My name is Devin and I am a Black man of trans experience from North Carolina. In May 2020, I finished my undergraduate career with a BA in Sociology. I am hyper-committed to providing a space where all individuals, especially those from underrepresented communities, feel both visible and comfortable! I was extremely fortunate to be able to stay at Quest House during one of my surgical recoveries. Navigating my second to last post-op experience alongside other community members was nothing short of amazing!
I have had multiple gender-affirming surgeries over the past 4 years, so I am very familiar with what the recovery processes can look like. I understand how important it is to have the proper care and support during these special yet challenging times. It makes such a difference in your healing! I am so excited to be a T4T Caregiver and give back in such a meaningful way.

I’m a queer, nonbinary, neurodivergent trans person living in metro Atlanta. I am the creator and facilitator of two separate support groups for transmasculine people going through lower surgery - one for folks local to Atlanta, and one online. I also co-founded NYU’s Buddy Program for trans patients having lower surgery. Additionally, I have authored a number of resources for trans people seeking GAS, including co-writing a comprehensive guide on phalloplasty in the US. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrative Studies, with a focus on Gender Studies and Sociology.
I am extremely passionate about providing education and increasing access to gender-affirming surgery however I can, but what I ultimately enjoy most is one-on-one caregiving. I have direct caregiving experience for trans and nonbinary people after various procedures. I have also undergone multiple gender-affirming surgeries myself, so I am well-versed in the recovery process for various procedures.

-Direct care after multiple types of phalloplasty (RFF, ALT, and Abdominal)
-Direct care after vaginoplasty
-Direct care after top surgery (double incision and keyhole)

Liz Narvaez
(she/her)
Hello! I am a Latina trans woman in my late 20s, currently based in the Bay Area. I graduated from Yale University with a BS in Biomedical Engineering. I strongly believe in building solidarity and love among our community. My wonderful transgender friends have been with me through my highest highs and my lowest lows, and I strive to bring that steady care and support to others as well. My community knows me as an emotional anchor and a gathering place for delicious food, comfort, peace, and support. As a T4T caregiver, I hope I can foster that same sense of reliability, care, and emotional and physical safety.
When I’m not caregiving, I’m probably playing Dungeons and Dragons, participating in community organizing, volunteering at my local LGBTQ+ center, going on runs, or reading a good book with a mug of tea in my hands.

Marion Horowitz
(she/her)
I'm a queer trans woman based in Philadelphia, where I began my medical transition in 2015. For me, caregiving is an essential part of how I express values of community with other trans and disabled people. In each of my own recovery processes from gender-affirming surgeries, I've been infinitely grateful for the people who helped me approach everyday challenges, and allowed me to feel witnessed and supported. Transition is a sacred, deeply spiritual process, in which we all deserve the support we need! So, I'm grateful to be able to extend my caregiving practice through T4T.
My direct care experience with gender-affirming surgery includes top surgery, orchiectomy, and vaginoplasty. Outside of caregiving, I also love baking, gardening and small engine mechanics.

-Direct care after top surgery (removal)

Howdy there! I'm a 42 year old trans man living happily in the San Francisco Bay Area, eager to help heal both physically and emotionally. I feel that our surgeries are these incredible, amazing experiences that really need as much support as possible beyond changing bandages in order to have the best healthful healing results. Anticipating the emotional needs of others is something I pride myself in and find purpose with. Taking care of others in our communities going through gender confirming surgeries is critical! When I'm not meme hoarding I'm gaming, meditating, creating art, and playing with my furry child, Sacha Baron Cohen.
Be kind to yourself and others!

River B.

Hello! My name is River and I’m in my late 20s. I’m a queer, agender, neurodiverse person based in New York City. I am a writer, sex educator and pleasure advocate, and now t4t caregiver. The community that has welcomed me while living in NYC has brought me immense support and healing, and I hope that I can be a small part of yours during recovery.
Besides the physical recovery from surgery, I know that this can be an incredibly emotional experience as well. Gender-affirming surgery is an amazing, life-changing opportunity and you deserve to be surrounded by people who are empathetic and understand the journey you are on without needing to defend yourself or educate. I will approach caregiving from an affirming, compassionate, listener-first, anti-racist perspective.
Outside of community care, I can be found exploring queer nightlife, playing pool, reading up on relationship dynamics, and obsessing over the latest sci-fi horror family drama or rewatching Studio Ghibli films for the hundredth time.
Trans Surgery Experience
-Direct care after MLD phalloplasty
-My own recovery after top surgery (radical reduction)
Additional Caregiving Experience
-Five years as a childcare provider for several families
Devin S.
(they/them)
Hey! My name is Devin. I am queer and trans masculine, and I’m based in New York City. I am an artist, writer, ex-academic, and a t4t caregiver. I love spending my free time learning new things, taking walks to explore new parts of the city, and thinking about memes, and workers’ rights.
I have a few years of experience as a home health care aide, and I am looking forward to serving the trans community as a t4t caregiver. I was very lucky to have a trans caregiver during my own gender-affirming surgery recovery. Gender-affirming surgery is an exciting, celebratory process, and it is important to be surrounded by those who can affirm that process, through the ups and downs. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on this journey!
