We understand the concern surrounding the idea of hiring a T4T Caregiver during the COVID-19 pandemic. We at T4T Caregiving are committed to your health and safety, so to ease your mind, we want to share our commitments during this time.
During travel, we always stay at least six feet away from other people as much as possible, as recommended by the CDC and WHO. We always wear appropriate face coverings throughout the entire travel process and anytime we are in a public setting.
During your recovery, we recommend using delivery services for food and groceries as much as possible to reduce exposure risk. We will still run errands for you when necessary and will always wear appropriate face coverings and maintain social distance when doing so.
Upon your request, we will get tested for COVID-19 prior to caring for you. If you are receiving care from one of our traveling caregivers and you wish for them to get tested upon arrival, you will need to cover the cost of a place for them to stay while they await test results, which can sometimes take a few days.
Ultimately, we want you to feel comfortable during your recovery. Your health and safety are of utmost importance to us, and that is reflected in our approach to providing care during this time. We will follow the precautions detailed here for every client, and we are willing to discuss any additional needs you have on an individual basis.
For more detailed information, please reach out to us at [email protected].

T4T now has two caregivers consistently able to travel throughout the US, with one more joining our team later this year!
We also continue to have local caregivers available in a number of US cities.
Both our traveling and local caregivers use ample caution leading up to and during your caregiving service in order to protect both you and ourselves. More information about our COVID-19 precautions will be added to the website soon.
In the meantime, if you are seeking care, please contact us at [email protected] for a consult.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, T4T Caregiving has very limited travel services, with only one caregiver able to travel in this time. More caregivers will consider traveling again once the pandemic has passed.
But! We still have active local caregivers in multiple locations:
Atlanta, GA
Baltimore, MD
Boston, MA
Greensboro, NC
Nashville, TN
New York City, NY
Portland, OR
San Francisco, CA
In many ways, we view this as a positive step forward. In the last two years, T4T has offered care to more than 100 trans people around the country. We are ecstatic to see how our vision has blossomed. What began as two people in rural Tennessee traveling around the country to give care is now a nationwide web of dedicated trans people caring for our own communities in times of transformation.
Being local, our caregivers can have more nuance in the quality of care they give. They are able to establish rapport with surgeons; they have an opportunity to see how the medical system works in their area; they often already understand the layouts of the city they are in. Our world is in such a state of deep growth and we are being called to connect. Having local trans communities come together to support one another during these epic rites of passage is one way to deepen that connection.
We hope to continue to broaden our web of care by empowering more trans people to care for each other within their local communities.
If you are interested in becoming a caregiver, let us know. Priority is given to trans people of color and trans feminine individuals. We can train you!
In the meantime, if you are seeking care, please contact us at [email protected] for a consult.
