"I honestly can’t imagine getting through my surgery recovery without Marion. From preparing my meals, prodding me to drink water, gauging my mental bandwidth and adjusting on the fly, engaging me in stimulating conversation, tracking my meds, driving me home and briefly staying to help get me into a good routine, holding my hand through intense post-op appointments, and generally just being a stellar human being - she made everything easier. Everything. I was sad to see her go, but I’m comforted that others can benefit from her warm, thoughtful, and supportive care."

"My experience with Marion was exceptional. A vaginoplasty is an enormous undertaking medically, logistically, and emotionally. From the start, Marion set me at ease with her calm confidence and insightful questions. She was flexible as we planned and replanned leading up to my procedure, and that continued after her arrival. Her communication and interpersonal skills are top notch, and she knew when to offer assistance and when to let me struggle towards independence. The emotional support of someone who is herself trans makes all the difference during some of those late nights. When she arrived, she integrated smoothly into my care team, and by the time she left I felt confident in continuing my recovery journey on my own. I honestly cannot recommend Marion enough."

"T4T caregiving was enabling for my bottom surgery. I couldn’t have made traveling for surgery work without them. Marion was everything I needed in a caregiver. She was an advocate for me while I was still in the hospital. She shopped, cooked, cleaned, and did all the household tasks that allowed me to rest and focus on healing. And she planned and accompanied me on outings that were appropriate for my level of energy and mobility as I healed. These kept me active per my Drs orders, but also got me out of the house and gave me things to look forward to. Recovery from surgery is difficult, there’s no getting around that, but Marion provided all the support I could ask for to make it as easy as possible."

"Marion was my caregiver during my recovery from top surgery. My care was complicated by the fact that I’m neurodivergent and have been diagnosed with cancer. I could not have hoped for a better caregiver than Marion! Even before we met in person, she was an excellent communicator, easing my anxiety about having someone I didn't know in my space at a time of great vulnerability. She was very flexible, adjusting her schedule to mine after my surgery date was moved by the hospital and again when I realized my post-op appointment was a day later than expected. I felt safe letting her be in charge of all my medication, drain management, and driving. It gave me so much peace of mind to know I could count on her to handle all the practical details of life while I was recovering. She was incredibly attuned to my particular needs while being proactive and discrete. She gave me the physical and mental space I needed to heal and relax, yet being present anytime I needed her for company or medical assistance. As a French foodie and forager, it meant a lot to me that she offered to cook all my meals from scratch, going into my garden to pick herbs and greens, making me feel as if I had hired a personal chef! I really appreciated her calm demeanor and grounded presence throughout her stay. We had wonderful conversations and walks, and it was deeply soothing to know that she was another trans person with whom I could share experiences and just be myself. I’m beyond grateful for Marion's care during my first week post-op. It felt like having a best friend at home. I more than highly recommend her."

"I had such peace of mind having a T4T caregiver with me for the first week of top surgery recovery. And during the times my mind wasn’t feeling very peaceful and I was struggling with anxiety and discomfort, Marion was very calm and patient with me. She also excitedly celebrated with me when we discovered my compression vest had adjustable Velcro at the shoulders - woop woop!!! LOL - she understood that the little things are big things when you are struggling. I’m so so grateful for Marion and T4T Caregiving."
